lit extracts are a potent form of cannabis that can be used in a variety of ways, including dabbing, vaping, tinctures and capsules. They offer a more concentrated dose of cannabinoids and terpenes than traditional forms of cannabis, such as flower and edibles. This means that a smaller amount of cannabis can be consumed to achieve the desired effects, making extracts a cost-effective option in the long run.
Health and Safety of Extracts in Canada
Ingestible extracts, such as lollipops and hard candies, have been popular among cannabis consumers since they launched on the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) in December 2022. But those products are triggering a crackdown from Health Canada, which has asked at least one licensed producer to stop selling the items — and warned provincial wholesalers not to stock them.
According to a letter shared with MJBizDaily, Health Canada has determined that the ingestible extracts are being consumed as food and should be classified as an edible and therefore subject to a 10 milligram THC limit per package. However, the producers who have been sent noncompliance letters are arguing that they have complied with federal regulations and can continue selling the products because they’re labeled as extracts rather than edibles.
Despite the low joke-per-minute ratio, “Extract” is still an entertaining movie thanks to its solid cast and warm performances from Mila Kunis as a con-woman catalyst, J.K. Simmons as a name-challenged manager, and Ben Affleck as a worldly hipster doofus. It’s less boisterous than Judge’s previous movies, but it retains his biting wit and oddly believable caricatures.
