Get to know David Thomas
David Thomas is an inspiring leader and innovator at the core of Give1Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those in need through various charitable initiatives. He has been involved with the group for over ten years and is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
David was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He attended college at Cornell University, where he earned a degree in Communications. Following his graduation, David began working as a volunteer coordinator for Give1Project shortly after its inception. As an employee of G1P, David quickly developed into an invaluable asset to the organization due to his enthusiasm and commitment to their vision.
Over the years, David has been responsible for leading several campaigns and projects that have had a profoundly positive impact on many communities around the world. One example of such efforts was his work with the Chrysalis Project – a program aimed at helping victims of human trafficking. Under his leadership, G1P has donated millions of dollars towards combatting this crime worldwide.
Moreover, David is also credited with raising awareness for numerous social issues and lending his voice to various philanthropic causes across continents. His dedication to helping those in need has driven him to travel extensively across Latin America, Africa, Europe and beyond – all while continuing to develop new partnerships and relationships with various NGOs around the world.
In addition to his involvement with G1P, David currently serves on numerous boards and committees including The United Nations Foundation’s Global Leadership Council for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In recognition of his tireless work towards ending global poverty and promoting sustainability initiatives worldwide, he has been honored by many organizations including The World Economic Forum’s “Global Leaders Program” distinction which recognizes outstanding individuals who demonstrated exceptional leadership skills while transforming their communities through service-oriented activities.
