From Elon Musk to Amy Schumer, celebrities have spoken out about their off-label use of Ozempic (also known as semaglutide) for weight loss. The injection, which is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, has become the latest fad for those looking to lose weight, with TikTok influencers revealing how much they’ve slimmed down using the drug. It’s even led to a shortage of the injectable medicine for diabetics, which is causing real medical problems for those who require it.Check this out : Read more here

While some stars like Chelsea Handler have been vocal about their decision to use Ozempic for weight loss, others — including Khloe Kardashian and RHOBH star Kyle Richards — have vehemently denied those claims.

In May 2023, the Vanderpump Rules alum addressed the rumors that she was using Ozempic in an Instagram post. “I was a little upset to see some of you assuming I’m using the injections,” she wrote. “That’s why I added the disclaimer! But i have been losing about 4-5 lbs a month since the beginning of this year. This was done with a strict diet and working out.”

However, it appears that the TV personality may have been referring to another off-label medication — not an injection of a weight loss drug. In a recent TikTok, the Game of Thrones alum revealed that she was using a prescription to help with her cholesterol called Repatha, which is also a Type II diabetes medication. She added that she’s “not playing with this stuff.” In the past, Raven-Symone also warned her followers not to rely on unproven medications.
