If you’re interested in becoming a licensed insurance agent in Ontario, you must take the Other Than Life (OTL) exam. The OTL exam is 2 hours long and consists of 100 questions. In order to pass the exam, you must get 75% of the questions correct. This exam is meant to test your knowledge of the habitational, auto and travel insurance coverages and their various endorsements. You also need to know the general insurance industry including entrepreneurship, ethics/professionalism and laws governing insurance.
